Application Stamping vs grinding Easy operation The operating principle In CRI and CRIN Bosch injectors, the valve function is to cut off the fuel fl ow, allowing to control the return fuel and introduce the reque- sted quantity to the engine. This happens for a new brand valve, but the high pressure operating conditions and frequency will damage the conical surface of it. In presence of these scraps, the valve will leak and a lower fuel quan- tity is introduced into the engine combustion chamber. 8210 can be used for both applications where 1,33 or 1,34 balls are used. • To avoid leaking, the grinding operation requires to remove as much material as the scraps deep are. Necessarily, this will change the injector parameters. • Stamping is the easiest, fastest and more affordable method to recover the right function of the valve. • Grinding by the proper tool 9700-CR helps to reduce the deep of the scraps, but the job is not able to assure the seal, because free interspaces can always be there. Please refer to the diagram presenting an horizontal section of the valve. • Warning : Before stamping, it is mandatory that the conical surface is absolutely free of carbon/oxid/metallic residuals. For this reason, ultrasonic cleaning is strictly necessary. • The 8210 tool requires a compressed air supply (min 6 BAR). No electrical power supply is required. • For a reliable and accurate operations, the internal calibrated valve warrants the effective stamping. • The ball valve is secured in the proper seat. • Use one of the 10 hard steel balls (Each of these balls can stamp 1000 circles) • Lock the cover through the two handles. • Easily actuate the push-button for 5 sec. to stamp the new sealing seat. No paste is required. The operating principle of 8210 is to use a master ball made of properly hardened steel, having a perfectly calibrated spherical geometry. It is used as a matrix, in order to stamp a new contact line between the ball and the valve. • The ball hardness is stronger than the valve, so that the valve molecules are compacted for a max 2 micron deep. The minimum to warrant the seal, while preserving the injector parameters. • A new seat is generated, allowing the perfect hydraulic seal.
