Features On the test bench On the vehicle Installing a cap instead of ZME valve, it can only help to deter- mine the transfer pressure. Have you ever wondered whether it is actually possible to test the functionality of the valve, avoiding to replace the valve, with your eyes closed? The new interface 8225-CP4 has been specially designed to be used on both the vehicle on the test bench. • Two test points: one downstream and the other upstream of the valve. • A ball valve to select the line pressure to be measured. • Support bracket for the ball valve and pressure gauge. • For a more accurate check, electronically control the valve through your simulator of the vehicle ECU (Electronic Con- trol Unit). • Upstream the valve, measure the transfer pressure. • Downstream the valve, in function of the different working conditions (RPM and valve modulation), look for the valve response and pressure stability. The pressure should be diffe- rent from the transfer pressure. • While the valve is immersed into an ultrasonic box (10 min), use your simulator to modulate it (vibrating). This operation allows to remove any dirty parts, which may be responsible of the unstable working. • Verify that the valve allows to cut off the fuel. • Control the valve by the vehicle ECU (Electronic Control Unit). • Upstream the valve, measure the transfer pressure. • Downstream the valve, in function of the engine working conditions, look for the pressure stability. The pressure should be different from the transfer pressure. • Verify that the valve allows to cut off the fuel. Distribuited by:
